Star riders in showjumping in dressage will be competing at this year’s London International Horse Show (13-18 December) with Ben Maher and Charlotte Dujardin among the big names who can be spotted in action at ExCeL London.
Charlotte Fry (pictured) and Charlotte Dujardin head the entries for the 2023 FEI Dressage World Cup. The former will be looking to reclaim the titles she won at the show last year, when she took home both the Grand Prix and the Freestyle. This year she will bring her Olympic bronze medal-winning Everdale, with whom she won the Freestyle at Compiègne earlier this year.
“The London International Horse Show is one of my favourite shows of the year,” she said. “Being able to compete at this level in front of my home fans is very special, and there is always an amazing atmosphere. The 2022 show was incredible for me and I hope to be able to do the same again.”
Having made a successful international comeback at Royal Windsor Horse Show after the birth of her daughter, Charlotte Dujardin and Imhotep – the horse she will bring to London – have gone from strength-to-strength, including winning team gold, individual silver in the Grand Prix and individual bronze in the Freestyle, with a score of over 90%, at the European Championships in Riesenbeck in September.
Lewis Carrier will also head to London, alongside Emile Faurie and Becky Moody.

Reigning Olympic Champion, Ben Maher, tops an exciting list of entries for the CSI5* jumping, where he will go head-to-head with the individual silver medallist from Tokyo and team World Champion, Peder Fredricson and this year’s European Champion, Steve Guerdat.
Ben will have fellow Brits Scott Brash and Harry Charles hot on his heels, as well as Harry’s sister, Sienna, who will be making her debut in the international classes at the show. Also jumping will be John and Robert Whitaker, last year’s Leading Rider of the Show, Jodie Hall McAteer, and Hall McAteer, Joe Stockdale, Tim Gredley and Lily Attwood.
“The calibre of the showjumping at London International Horse Show is second-to-none and we are very lucky to have become accustomed to such top-level sport,” said Show Director Simon Brooks-Ward. “2023 is shaping up to be as strong as ever, with many of the world’s top showjumpers heading to London.”
