The Mars Badminton Horse Trials has secured a further two years of coverage from the BBC, following the success of this year’s event. It has been shown on the BBC since 1956 and is amongst the broadcaster’s longest standing sporting programmes.

The team at Badminton said they were “thrilled” to announce the coverage is confirmed for 2025 and 2026, and look forward to the relationship continuing into the future.

“I always look forward to watching the BBC highlights programme as it captures all that Badminton is comprised of,” said Event Director Jane Tuckwell. “We are delighted the BBC wish to carry on with their fantastic coverage of the event and look forward to the continuation of this long association.”

The BBC Highlights programme enables the UK audience to watch a round-up of the week’s action along with the final ten showjumping rounds. Live action will continue to be broadcast through Badminton TV each day.

Meanwhile, equestrians looking to follow the showjumping action at The Al Shira’aa Hickstead Derby this week (20-23 June) can find out how to tune into their coverage here. The platforms will broadcast the event from the International Arena from Thursday onwards. Live streams and recordings will be available during and after the event.
