Britain’s Tom McEwen continues to occupy first place in the FEI Eventing World Athlete Ranking but compatriot Ros Canter isn’t far behind as she climbs from third to second in the October edition of the rankings.

Tom remains at the head of the rankings on 552 points but Ros’ Burghley win aboard Lordships Graffalo has seen her points tally increase to 497 and moved her into second place.

Both Tom and Ros were members of the team who clinched gold for Great Britain at the Paris 2024 Olympics in August along with Laura Collett who sits in 10th.

Ros and Laura will be at Your Horse Live at Stoneleigh Park on 8-10 November. The pair will team up with former European eventing champion Nicola Wilson for an exclusive demonstration.

New Zealand’s Tim Price is in third position in the eventing rankings on 476 points, just six points ahead of Luhmuhlen champion Lara De Liedekerke-Meier from Belgium.

One of the biggest climbers this month is Harry Meade who has jumped 46 places and finds himself in eighth place thanks to his impressive Burghley performances which saw him occupy third and fourth places.

Jumping rankings remain the same

There is no change in the top three in the FEI Jumping rankings. Sweden’s Henrik von Eckerman continues to lead the way with 3,361 points ahead of Steve Guerdat from Switzerland (3,154 points) and Britain’s Ben Maher (3,082 points).

In the dressage rankings, first place continues to be held by Germany’s Isabell Worth (2,062 points) while Britain’s Charlotte Fry has moved into second place with 1,955 points. Dinja Van Liere (NED) is third on 1,897 points.

The retirement of TDF Dalera BB has meant there’s a new world No.1 in the dressage horse world rankings. Wendy de Fontaine has a 41-point lead over Glamourdale (1,941 points), Hermer N.O.P. is third with 1,816 points.

The FEI manages over 70 rankings which are calculated and updated monthly. As well as athlete rankings across all the disciplines there are also horse rankings, youth rankings and team, league and regional based standings.
