Bolesworth Elite Auctions is offering interested parties the opportunity to acquire implanted embryos from Olympic showjumping sires and co-own racehorses with Michael Owen at an auction next month.
The ‘Exclusive Embryos and Racing Dreams’ auction will take place during a gala evening on Monday 18 November at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool.
The auction, which is the first of its kind in the UK, will include 16 embryos, many of which contain bloodlines that are not normally available.
All the embryos have been sired by stallions who competed at the Paris Olympics and are out of high-performance, black-type dams with proven records in equestrian sport.
A highlight of the collection is a Romeo 88 embryo out of Picobello Mabella, the full sister to Hello M’Lady. Also available is a full brother to Halifax Van Het Kluizebos and a maternal sibling to Darry Lou.
Bolesworth Elite Auctions have been running foal, yearling and ridden horse auctions since 2015 but it will be the first time they have included embryos.
Co-own racehorses with Michael Owen
As well as the embryo auction, the evening will also offer the chance to co-own promising flat racehorses with England footballer Michael Owen. The racehorses will be trained by Hugo Palmer and the team at Manor House Stables in Cheshire.
Shares in Balon d’Or, the successful three-year-old sprinter, and several yearlings with successful dam lines will be available for investors to bid on.
The ownership shares range from 10% to 25% and successful bidders will also receive benefits such as race day participation and exclusive events at Manor House Stables.
The racehorses are available to view at Manor House Stables by appointment ahead of the auction. There will also be a preview between 1-2.30pm on the day of the auction which will be streamed live on ClipMyHorse.TV. Those with tickets to the auction are invited to attend the viewing and will receive lunch.
Guests at the auction evening will enjoy a champagne reception, a three-course meal and an after party.
The auction will be broadcast live on ClipMyHorse.tv and bids can be made live, online or by telephone.
