An equine feed manufacturer has unveiled a new Facebook group aimed at supporting owners of veteran horses

Spillers have launched the Spillers Super Seniors’ Club with the intention of uniting owners of golden oldies.

The brand are also sponsoring a new ‘Celebrating seniors’ series about veterans in Your Horse magazine and online, as part of its new Spillers Super Seniors’ Club.

The Spillers Super Seniors’ Club Facebook group will provide help, information and advice on how to keep senior horses in the best health.

Interactive group

Senior horse owners are invited to share their horse’s story in the Facebook group along with any tips they may have as well as asking questions for Spillers nutrition advisors to respond to.

“Caring for senior horses is a journey filled with love, dedication, and unique challenges,” said Claire Dyett, marketing manager at Mars Horsecare, home of the Spillers brand.

“At Spillers, many of us have had experience with precious golden oldies and we understand the special place our older horses hold in our hearts.”

For over 20 years Spillers has been involved in research collaborations with the Waltham Equine Studies Group investigating how to support the wellbeing, performance and longevity of senior horses and ponies.

Caring community

By sharing their findings, Spillers hope that the group will ensure owners of veteran horse receive the extra support they need to keep their golden oldies happy and healthy.

“Whether your horse is thriving in retirement, still active, or showing signs of ageing, we’re here to provide expert guidance, practical advice, and a platform to celebrate your horse’s golden years,” continued Claire.

“We always aim to be your trusted partner in care, to help you give your horses their best life in their twilight years.”
