Aoife Byrne DrMedVet Cert AVP PGCert VPS is a vet at Bakonyi & Byrne Equine Vets in Ireland. She grew up in Co. Carlow, next door to her uncle’s Park House Stud, and graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest in 2007. After moving to the UK, Aoife worked as assistant vet at Beaufort Embryo Transfer Centre, before moving to Rowe Equine and gaining ophthalmology knowledge and experience at their specialised Equine Eye Clinic. Aoife then moved to Norfolk to take up an assistant veterinary surgeon role at the Chapelfield Equine Clinic, an XLEquine Member Practice. After several years here, she returned to Ireland and set up Bakonyi & Byrne Equine Vets alongside fellow vet Peter Bakonyi.
