Claire Lilley is a BHS-accredited professional coach with over 40 years' experience. She is also a highly regarded psychotherapist (BA Hons). From a riding school background, Claire gained her BHS qualifications before training in Germany as a bereiter, which is a professional qualification awarded by the German National Riding School in Warendorf. Claire went on to become an accomplished showjumper and Grand Prix dressage rider. Her experience of the long-term effects of riding incidents, both mentally and physically, led to her second career in psychotherapy. She specialise in trauma, particularly helping riders to overcome their fears and improve their confidence. Claire is also an author and she has written several equestrian books, including The Psychology of Horsemanship.
