With cancellations of several major equestrian events due to the pandemic, Bolesworth’s latest announcements are particularly welcome news.
Earlier this month it was revealed that Badminton Horse Trials had been cancelled, along with other major horse trials, including Bramham.
However, world class showjumpers will be heading to Bolesworth International Horse Show (7-11 July) as planned, with tickets going on sale on 30 March. The summer event is one of several fixtures which will be set against the backdrop of Bolesworth Castle.
“It will be a huge pleasure to once again open the doors to spectators and hospitality guests, together with an exciting schedule of international sport,” said Bolesworth’s managing director, Nina Barbour.
The July event will see the renowned Elite Auction on Friday 9 July, with a special collection of yearlings auctioned live. All lots will have close links to 1.60m performers on the dam side, with a line-up that promise to include some of the most famous names in showjumping.
The International Arena will host headline classes climaxing with the CSI*** Grand Prix on Sunday 11 July. The schedule will include CSI3*, CSI1*, CSIAm, CSIP and CSIYH classes, with the aim to provide a platform for a wide range of competitors to compete.
Visitors to the show can enjoy equestrian shopping, hospitality and an exciting line up of evening entertainment, in line with Government guidelines.
Additional dates
The season will commence at Bolesworth with three affiliated training shows, on the 7 and 21 April, and 5 May.
In addition, the new Bolesworth National Horse Show will take place from 20–23 May, with classes up to 1.40m and Young Horse classes.
Bolesworth are also welcoming Dodson & Horrell as new title sponsors to the international competition.
“We are very pleased to join Bolesworth International as their new title sponsor to celebrate showjumping and the dedication, passion and talent of all the competitors and their horses,” said Sam Horrell, Managing Director of Dodson & Horrell.
“A strive for excellence, a commitment to success and a passion for all things equestrian are three core values that Dodson & Horrell and Bolesworth International Horse Show share in abundance, and are what make our exciting new partnership a perfect match.”
Nina said she was “incredibly proud” to welcome the new title sponsor.
“They are a company backed by a longstanding family heritage offering an exceptional range of products and customer service, which has been relied upon by equestrians for over 80 years,” she added.
