Jewellery brands Hiho Silver and Coco & Jane Loves have worked with the Georgie Campbell Foundation to launch a unique collection in memory of the late five-star event rider and to raise funds for the newly formed foundation.
Georgie was killed in a cross-country fall while competing at Bicton International Horse Trials in May of this year. The new jewellery lines are spired by the late rider’s competition colours — purple and white — and her beloved dog, a Patterdale-cross called Twig (pictured above with Georgie).
Twig collection
The Hiho Silver collection includes a sterling silver twig necklace and matching sterling silver twig cufflinks.
“As Twig reached his twilight years, Georgie had begun to fear losing him and so had started planning a tattoo for herself in the shape of a small branch, so that she would never be without her Twig,” said a statement.
“Moved by this story and keen to draw on it for inspiration, Hiho Silver’s master craftsmen set about replicating a twig from a hornbeam (fairy) tree that stood in Georgie’s family home in Kent to create the first two pieces in the collection.”
The cufflinks retail at £95, with £54 going to the Georgie Campbell Foundation.
The necklace costs £65 and £36 will be donated.
Both are available to pre-order now and will be dispatched in time for Christmas.
Purple and white bracelet
A purple and white zig-zag bracelet has been handmade by enamel bracelet designer Coco & Jane Loves. It has an adjustable circumference to fit any wrist size and is suitable for both women and men.
It costs £35 — of which £25 will go to the Georgie Campbell Foundation — and is available to buy now.
“I love wearing my Georgie jewellery every day and the process of creating it and setting up the foundation provides a positive channel for our pain and helps to keep Georgie’s memory alive,” said the late rider’s older sister, Jo Williams.
“We hope the equestrian community and beyond will support the Georgie Campbell Foundation so that we can give back to the sport she loved for many years to come.”
The Georgie Campbell Foundation
Georgie was based in Kent for most of her life. Georgie loved her horses with all her heart and died doing what she loved at Bicton International Horse Trials on 26 May 2024.
The Georgie Campbell Foundation has been created by a group of people who love and deeply miss Georgie with the aim of supporting young event riders in establishing and running their eventing businesses.
The Foundation will provide bursary support and mentoring in areas, including financial management and attracting and retaining staff, owners and sponsors.
