Equine charity Horse Trust will open its doors to the public for the return of its annual Horses, Hounds and Heroes (HHH) event on Sunday 19 June, 2022.
After a two year break due to Covid-19, the summer celebration will return with a chance to meet residents at the Home of Rest for Horses in Speen, Buckinghamshire.
There will be equine displays, falconry and ferret racing, as well as pony rides for children, tractors on display and a dog show, so canine companions are welcome. There will also be food and drink stands.
“We can’t wait to welcome back visitors to this fantastic, fun event,” said a charity spokesman.
The HHH event takes place from 12-5pm on Sunday 19 June, 2022 and early bird tickets are now on sale.

Rest and retirement
The Horse Trust was founded in 1886 by Miss Ann Lindo who wished to provide a place of rest and retirement for working equines. Since then, the charity has provided retirement and respite to working horses, ponies and donkeys as well as caring for rescue cases for 135 years.
Earlier this year, Your Horse reported on the passing of Horse Trust resident and former Household Cavalry horse, Yeoman, who died at the age of 29.
Yeoman served with The Life Guard’s, the senior regiment of the British Army, for 20 years and was part of The Household Cavalry. He enjoyed five years of retirement with The Horse Trust.
Staff said the gelding proved himself to be a “gentle and kind” horse who often came onto the yard on visiting days to greet supporters.
“He will be missed for an incredibly long time as he had such a special place in so many of our hearts,” they said.
