Everyone’s favourite Clydesdale, Hovis, will launch his latest book, Hovis’ Friday Diary: What’s the Story, Medal Glory 2022-2024 at Your Horse Live this November.

The 22-year-old will return to the rescue village at Your Horse Live on each day of the show where, as well as promoting his new masterpiece, he will also be available for meet and greets where people will be able to stroke and pat him and speak to his owner.

Your Horse Live takes place from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 November at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.

Hovis’ Friday Diary: What’s the Story, Medal Glory 2022-2024 is the ninth instalment from the literary genius and follows on from his last book Hovis’ Friday Diary: Laughter, Lameness and Lockdowns which was published at the end of 2021.

Chief mascot

It’s been a busy few months for Hovis who, as well as putting the finishing touches to his book, was named official supporter mascot to the British eventing team at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, an honour he discusses in his latest diary.

Also in his new book, Hovis gives his irreverent narrative on the global pandemic and his own advancing years and introduces the reader to a new set of stable mates.

The diary is once again told from Hovis’ unique viewpoint with the aim of entertaining his many fans, aka the ‘Hovite Army’, who have been following his rather large hoofprints and hanging off his every diary entry for over 15 years.

All proceeds from the sale of the book, which is designed to make readers laugh and smile and possibly shed a tear, will be going to Bransby Horses, one of the UK’s largest equine welfare charities.

This year there will be a heavy horse village at Your Horse Live, more information will be announced soon.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to meet Hovis – and perhaps encounter a surprise or two – and purchase Hovis’ Friday Diary: What’s the Story, Medal Glory 2022-2024 which is sure to become a bestseller. Buy tickets to Your Horse Live here.
