The calendar, made by an official fundraising group is filled with…you guessed it – hunks and horses and proceeds of every copy sold are donated equally between World Horse Welfare and Testicular Cancer Research UK.
The two chosen charities are close to the heart of the group’s founder, Kim’s Crawford, whose husband is a testicular cancer survivor, having been diagnosed in his mid-twenties and recently receiving the all clear.
“He features in the calendar with his great friends,” says Kim. “Also, we have supported World Horse Welfare ever since we had the pleasure of rehoming a youngster, Melody, from the charity who stayed with us for several years until she was ready to find a riding home through the charity.
“Amongst other things, our main form of fundraising is the selling of our ‘Hunks & Horses’ Charity Calendar which has been running for three years,” says Kim Crawford, head of Hunks & Horses. “So far we’ve raised almost £35,000, and our latest 2017 calendar is the fourth and final calendar with which we are aiming to fundraise enough to take us over the £50,000 final milestone for our chosen charities.”
