Ten world-class sport horses will be auctioned at London International Horse Show on Saturday 16 December. The auction will be presented by William Funnell and Shane Breen, who are behind the new initiative with their respective businesses, Billy Stud and Breen Equestrian.
The hybrid auction, taking place before the ExCeL audience and online through live streaming, will feature five to eight-year-old horses, available to view on the London International website in the coming days.
Pippa and William Funnell and Chloe and Shane Breen said they are confident that the festive show will offer a fantastic platform for the auction.
“This is a great opportunity for buyers to view and hopefully purchase sports horses within the UK,” said William. “The London show offers a fantastic environment for the auction and potential buyers will be given the chance to ride the horses in advance of the auction at ExCeL. We are very excited by this new launch and are confident that it will be a great success.”
Simon Brooks-Ward, London International Horse Show Event Director, celebrated the new addition to the show schedule.
“We are constantly looking to improve the offer that London International gives its audience,” he said. “The introduction of a horse auction to the show is a great new initiative. We firmly believe that the auction will introduce buyers to some top quality horses for purchase plus they’ll be able to enjoy the fantastic sport and entertainment that the show offers.”
The auction will take place from 6pm on Saturday 16 December. For more information and to book tickets, click here.
