The 33rd National Equine Forum (NEF25) will make its full programme of talks available to online watchers for free.

It will be the first time that NEF, which is taking place at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) in London on Thursday 6  March 2025, will offer this service.

Tickets are still available to attend the event in person, and those in education can purchase a ticket at a discounted rate.

This year’s event will include discussions about important issues affecting the future of equestrianism.

Programme of events

  • The Equine Industry in a Changing World will include a Parliamentary view of the status of the sector and a review of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
  • Equine Health Updates will include the latest news on some of the most serious disease threats to horses in the UK.
  • Equine feeds will look at feed safety and legality, the fundamental role of forage and where to find reliable nutrition advice.
  • Equine Assisted Services will take a close look at the partnership role horses play, both ridden and on the ground.
  • The Memorial Lecture will explore, with case studies, how charities are continuing to work together around the emerging face of equine welfare challenges in Britain.

Audience participation

Each talk will also give attendees and those watching on the livestream the chance to ask questions and offer thoughts and opinions through Q&A sessions.

Panellists will include industry leaders, veterinary professionals and charity representatives.

“It is with huge thanks to our generous livestreaming supporters that we have been able to offer the live stream free of charge this year,” said NEF chairman Tim Brigstocke.

“NEF is a not-for-profit event organised by a committee including many volunteers. Our intention is to share educational, important and topical information with as many members of the equestrian sector as possible, to support progress and cohesion within the sector.

“With this year’s free livestream, together with our discounted live event afternoon tickets for educational establishments, we will be able to achieve our intention with even greater effect.”
