Young horse lovers can learn more about their passion thanks to a host of events taking place at Horses and Ponies Protection Association (HAPPA).
The fundraising activities take place during May Half Term from Saturday 25 May to Friday 31 May at Shores Hey Farm in Burnley. The events include Pony Grooming, Own a Pony Day, Pony Squad and Paint a Pony Crafting.
HAPPA is a charitable organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of equines in need. Since 1937, it has provided care and sanctuary to horses and ponies who have experienced neglect or mistreatment, as well as educating the public about responsible horse ownership.
The May Half Term activities include:
- Pony Grooming: Learn the basics of grooming from HAPPA’s experienced staff
- Own a Pony Day: Join the charity for a day filled with hands-on activities
- Pony Squad: Learn horse care skills and teamwork in a supportive and fun environment
- Paint a Pony Crafting: HAPPA’s crafting sessions allow youngsters to express themselves artistically
Visitors can also explore the farm and meet resident horses and ponies, as well as enjoy the on site café.
“Don’t miss out on the fun, join us at Shores Hey Farm for a week of unforgettable experiences and family-friendly entertainment during this May Half Term,” said a charity spokesman.
Entry to Shores Hey Farm is £6 for a group of up to six people, each of the activities are an additional cost. Tickets can be booked online or pay at reception on the day.
