Connemara is supreme! See the SEIB Search For A Star champions crowned at Your Horse Live

Spinway Colm (pictured above) was crowned SEIB Search for a Star Supreme Champion at Your Horse Live today (Saturday 9 November), while Tambrook Prayer In C took the in-hand supreme title.

The 12-year-old Connemara Spinway Colm, who is owned and ridden by Hartpury University student Daisy Beards, topped yesterday’s British Riding Club’s final.

Daisy backed and produced Colm herself. She is a Stoneleigh Riding Club member and the pair competes in eventing, dressage and showjumping, as well as showing.

SEIB Search for a Star Champions 2024

Eleven champions were crowned on Friday 8 November, before returning to the SEIB Main Arena on Saturday to compete for the supreme title.

Tambrook Prayer In C

Friday’s plaited pony champion was Tambrook Prayer in C. This part-bred Welsh pony is owned and handled by Claire Crerand.

Treworgan Titanium

It was a double victory for Treworgan Titanium, who took both the In-hand Mountain & Moorland and the Pony Club Lead Rein titles. The five-year-old Dartmoor gelding is owned and handled by Jessica Bowring, who bought him as a two-year-old, and ridden by Jessica’s six-year-old daughter Molly.

Randall IV

The 26-year-old former showjumper Randall IV made a winning return to the winners’ enclosure when he topped the In-hand Veteran Final for owner/handler Lucy Ashworth.

This is the second time this horse has won this title, after winning in 2022 as well.

Midnight’s Magic

Midnight’s Magic is owned by Gemma Hoe and handled by her sister Donna and was crowned in-hand plaited horse champion.

The 28-year-old chestnut gelding used to compete up to 1.30m showjumping with Gemma.

Bromley Cask of Magners

The traditional cob Bromley Cask of Magners stood in-hand native and traditional champion for owner/handler Kimberley Turner.

Shilbrook Mr Holly

Shilbrook Mr Holly was victorious in the Pony Club first ridden championship ridden by Emily Hiscox, who won the supreme title here with Thistledown Elpaso in 2022.

The 17-year-old Welsh section A is owned by Heather Hiscox.

Brynseion Montague

The open Pony Club title went to Brynseion Montague and East Cheshire branch member Emilia Stone, who has been riding her mother Sarah’s nine-year-old Welsh section B for two years.
